According to the interim results, KLN recorded a revenue of HK$29.851 billion for the first half of the year, representing a year-on-year increase of 9.7%. Profit attributable to shareholders of the company stood at HK$675 million, up 4.08% from the same period last year. Earnings per share came in at HK$0.37, with an interim dividend of HK$0.12 per share declared, an increase of 9% year-on-year.
During the period, robust new customer growth in its two primary markets, Hong Kong and Mainland China, drove a 19% year-on-year increase in revenue from the integrated logistics segment (before inter-segment elimination). Meanwhile, the international freight forwarding segment saw a 12% year-on-year revenue rise (before inter-segment elimination), fueled by a substantial increase in air and sea freight volumes. However, segment profit declined by 7%, primarily due to competitive pressures in the market.
