Lucid Group (LCID) is recalling 27,185 of its Air luxury US sedans because an exterior lighting circuit could overheat and increase the risk of a fire, Reuters reported Friday, citing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, or NHTSA.

Lucid is distributing an online software patch to fix the defect, with 20,719 affected vehicles already receiving the update, the report said.

The recall notice asked owners to park their vehicles outside and away from structures until a remedy is deployed, the report said. The recall is Lucid's largest to date, Reuters said.

Lucid and the NHTSA did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
